Question
Will the non-elect, those not chosen to be elect be able to cry out on
judgment day, 'God, You have not been fair to us!'
Answer
They have no excuse. God tells us in Romans that they knew
God was there and did not think it was important to seek after Him. God said it
was "very clear to them." They have, with their freewill chosen to reject God
and His Savior, Jesus Christ:
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and
wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since
what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to
them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his
eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from
what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew
God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their
thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they
claimed to be wise, they became fools." [Romans 1:18-22]
We cannot question God's absolute prerogative in the things He does, for we
always know that He is absolutely fair and just in everything, and if something
appears "unfair" then it is a problem with our human, finite understanding which
is flawed.
