Questioner
I was told by my church that we need to be "praying to the Holy Spirit." Now I know that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the God Head, but I am unable to wrap my spiritual mind around the idea of praying to Him. I know that the Holy Spirit's job is to seal, teach, comfort, guide and intercede on the believers behalf when we do not know how or what to pray, but I have never been led to understand that we pray to Him. Can you help me?
Answer
We can pray to any member of the Trinity, for
they are all three the Holy and Triune God. However, our main focus is praying
to the Father, in the name of Christ. But we can talk and ask for help from the
Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ at any moment and about any subject.
